- Title: Using design thinking to prevent bonded labour in India - Majboor Kisko Bola! (duration 14m 22s)
- Summary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHOZfmDkNKg The Majboor Kisko Bola! (Who are you calling helpless!) project aimed to inform people about their human and labour rights in order to prevent bonded labour in India. The catch? Those most vulnerable to bonded labour often live in media dark areas. So how did we reach them? Through radio listeners' villages, shrota samvads (a platform created to facilitate discussion between people and local government), and a miss-call initiative (a service allowing people to phone a number to get free a call-back) for people seeking advice. All of these activities helped inform people about their labour and human rights, connected them with grassroots NGOs, local government administration and local journalists, and in doing so, empowered them to make better decisions and take control of their lives.
