Summary:The first-ever Media and Communication for Development Forum in Myanmar, ‘Maung Tee Kya Soh’ (Beat the Gong), took place from 23rd to 25th May in Yangon. BBC Media Action was a leading player in the forum that had a dynamic and interesting agenda and included 250 people from organisations including UNICEF, FHI360 and Search for Common Ground. There were plenty of opportunities for learning, networking, exchange of ideas and creativity, and celebrating what is happening in MC4D across Myanmar and practitioners shared evidence-based efforts to promote social change through art, media and engaging interactive communication.
